ACCURACY OF LUNG ULTRASOUND TO DIAGNOSE TRANSIENT TACHYPNEA OF NEWBORN

Objective: To find out the accuracy of lung ultrasound to diagnose transient tachypnea in neonates
 
 Methodology: Cross-sectional study at Neonatology Department, Sadiq Abbasi (Civil) Hospital Bahawalpur from January 2019 October 2022 and comprised neonates diagnosed as newborn admitted were divided into 2 groups based on Chest radiograph findings comparable each other demographics. Lung Ultrasonography examinations performed all patients a peaceful condition. Each was split up three zones bounded by anterior axillary posterior lines anterior, lateral. results compared with CXR findings. Results: Out 148, 74% while suggestive 39% however, also i.e. 61% having normal examination. The commonest indexes A-lines abnormalities 100%, B-lines 94.5 %, interstitial syndromes 81.6%, white lungs 36.6%, double point 86.77%, consolidation 21% pleural effusions 10%. sensitivity LUS 86.5% specificity Double Point 92.2% 80% respectively.
 Conclusion: is noninvasive way bedside neonatal It has analytic value disease but helps differentiation different diseases no radiation hazard.
